D&D 5.5 – Combat Tracker

Download free Combat Tracker sheet (PDF) here.

I posted a 5E version of this some time back. (My friend Nicholas sent me this excellent combat tracker. If anyone knows who created it, please let me know so I can give credit to him or her.)
Erichthegree commented on that post today that it needs to be updated to the new D&D 5.5 conditions, so that is what this is.
One complaint I have with the new Player’s Handbook is that the conditions are not presented all together in one place. This can be used for that, but I did have to abbreviate them a lot in order to get them to all fit in a single column.

Thank you so much for updating this! I didn’t catch it when it happened but I found it today which is just in time because I’m about to start my fall D&D club campaign.

I agree that the PHB would be better if conditions were in one handy chart somewhere, like the previous edition.

I faced the daunting prospect of trying to trim the verbiage down so I could fit these all into one column and I’m horrible at layout, so I’m really glad you took this on and did such a good job! Also glad you added Exhaustion, which is simpler now so it fits better.

TIP: once I finish a combat, before recycling the sheet, I trim off the conditions chart on the right and put it into a book – PHB, DMG, MM, published adventures – so whenever I see a condition in a stat block or magical effect, I can immediately remind myself exactly what it does or doesn’t do. It makes a great conditions cheat-sheet or even bookmark.

Okay, now for the obligatory nitpick. 5.5 now has a list of 12 standard actions (your list has 9 of them), and some of the old ones have changed terminology (and gotten shorter in the process). The “Cast a Spell” action is now the “Magic” action (includes spells, magic items, and various other abilities). “Use an Object” is now “Utilize”. “Search” and “Study” are now 2 different actions (but I recommend combining them in your list as Search/Study), and the two you are missing are Influence (using Deception, Intimidation, Persuasion, Performance or Animal Handling) and Ready (which you could maybe leave off, since it must be combined with some other action anyway).

In the meantime this chart is quite useful as is, since the standard character sheet is pre-loaded with the list of standard actions.
