Top Dog Games makes an excellent set of monster cards that they call “Stat Trackers”. I bought a set and I love them. They come with several blank cards that you can fill in by hand and you can buy more. You can find their site HERE.

I made a PDF form-fillable version and I thought I would share. There are three cards on one 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet.

I filled in One card as an example (a Guardian Naga doesn’t really have a swim and fly speed). On the original cards the Monster name is repeated at the top and turned upside down so it can be seen by the players when you fold the card and hang it on your DM screen. I’m not doing that so I made it a blank area where I can draw or insert an image of the monster. Even if I was using it as intended, I don’t always want the players to know the name of the monster, so I could put the image upside down if I wanted to do that.
I made the bottom two large text areas as editable text areas so you can change all, or any part of the text to bold, italic, underline, or a different color, or change its size. Also, the ability modifier is calculated for you when you fill in the ability score.

    Thanks I want to buy your cards and if this group continues past the first couple of gatherings I probably will but this version will help for now

      Thanks Scott, but the Stat Tracker cards that are sold by Top Dog Games are not “my cards”. I have no affiliation with Top Dog Games. They are simply cards that I bought and really like.

    I also am a huge fan of stat trackers, own the original set, and have pre-ordered the expansion. But I run a lot of things from PDFs and other purchased adventures and got really tired of hand-transcribing onto their blank cards. These are great! I was wondering if you happened to have them in Word? I was going to play around with form-filling from excel if I can make excel parse a text block copied from one of those custom sources into columns with the various items needed for the stat tracker. I think it’s possible based on a macro that takes a similar copy/pasted text block and puts it into MapTool for me, although obviously I’d have to redo a lot to get it to work with Excel or some other form-fillable method.

      That sounds like a great idea. Good luck with it.
      No, I created these with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I don’t have a Word version.
      I was running a game using MapTool for several months before switching to Fantasy Grounds so I know what you are talking about, but I am a real armature when it comes to Excel. Perhaps you could write a program to parse the text block and put it into an adobe form data file (a .fdf file) that could be imported into these fillable-cards.pdf files.
      Let me know what you come up with. I would love to share it here if I could.
